Define the fit before sampling

• Trousers: specify waist position, front and back rise, hip and thigh ease, inseam and leg opening. Review the sample sitting, walking and bending.
• Shorts: confirm rise, finished length and leg opening together. Check pocket placement and coverage against the intended silhouette.
• Skirts: specify waist-to-hip fit, length, sweep and slit position. Check the movement and coverage of the sample before approving the pattern.

Waistbands, pockets and opacity

Agree whether the waistband is tailored, elasticated or partly elasticated, and define its finished measurements. Review fastening strength, pocket bag visibility and stress points at pocket openings. For pale colours or lighter fabrics, decide whether lining is needed and approve its coverage and feel.

Fabric and washed dimensions

Compare pure linen and linen blends for weight, drape, texture and the silhouette you want. Agree the intended wash or finish before final fit approval, and check dimensional changes on the chosen material. Pressing and finishing should reflect the approved sample rather than a promise of wrinkle-free linen.

Linen Bottoms: Development and Ordering

Can a matching top and bottom share the same fabric?

Include both designs in the brief so fabric weight, colour, finish and sample appearance can be reviewed together. Each style has its own fit and minimum order; a matching set does not automatically combine separate styles into one MOQ.

What information is needed for a quote?

Send your design or reference sample, size chart, waist and rise requirements, fabric preferences, lining and pocket details, colour quantities and destination. Add label, packaging, testing and delivery requirements so these can be considered before sampling.

What are the MOQ and production times?

The minimum is 200 pieces per style for one colour, or 150 pieces per colour per style when ordering two or more colours. Up to four sizes can be included when the MOQ is met, with your chosen quantity per size. Extra sizes and material-specific minimums are agreed separately.

Sampling takes 10–15 working days after all sample details are confirmed. First bulk orders take 30–45 working days after order details and styles are confirmed, the deposit is received and fabric is ready. Review our order FAQs, then send your linen bottoms brief.
