Crop Top Design References

Explore these examples and include the style number when discussing your design. Tell us the changes you need in fabric, length, neckline or finish. See our women’s tops manufacturing overview for the wider category.

Define Length and Coverage First

“Cropped” can describe many lengths. Provide the garment length from a defined measurement point, the intended waist position and the amount of coverage required. Include front and back views and explain whether the top will be styled with high-waisted trousers, a skirt or a matching bottom.

Neckline, Straps and Armholes

Specify the neckline shape, strap width and position, armhole depth and fastening details. Review the sample while standing, sitting and moving, noting any gaping, pulling or unwanted exposure. Confirm fit comments before grading to the full size range.

Fabric, Opacity and Support

Share your fabric composition, weight, stretch and handfeel requirements, or send a reference for sourcing. State whether the design needs lining or additional structure. The selected material and construction should be reviewed together so the sample reflects the intended drape and coverage.

Seams, Hems and Decoration

Include preferred seam and edge finishes, print or embroidery artwork and placement dimensions. Check how decoration sits on the shorter garment and how it changes across sizes. Confirm the approved fabric, artwork and construction before production.

Develop a Complete Outfit

If the top belongs to a set, review it with the intended bottom to check proportions and coverage. Our co-ords development guide covers paired fit and design details. For structured styles, see corsets and bustiers.

MOQ, Sampling and Production

Our standard minimum is 200 pieces per style in one colour, or 150 pieces per colour for a style ordered in two or more colours. Up to four sizes can be included when the MOQ is met; additional sizes and material or process minimums are discussed separately.

Sample development takes 10–15 working days after all sample details are confirmed. First-order production takes 30–45 working days after order details and styles are confirmed, the deposit is received and fabric is ready. Shipping time is additional. See our ordering FAQs for further details.
